Dear Salem Fields Family,

I want to take a moment to update you on how “Snowmageddon” and the deep freeze that followed have
impacted our building, and how we’re responding together as a community of faith. While the storm hit
hard, I’m not anxious; I’m full of faith, because I’ve seen how God moves through you week after week.

Here’s the quick overview:
• The storm caused extensive damage, requiring four full days of parking lot preparation and recovery,
along with severe impact to several ground-mounted HVAC units and the gas lines that serve them.
• The estimated cost for repairs is approximately $51,000 to restore full functionality, maintain heat
throughout the building, and ensure our ministries continue without disruption.
• Our Facilities Response Team, Pastor Trent Stinson, Pastor C.M. Pruitt, Kim Huffman, Jeff Maille, and
Pastor Virginia Pruitt—has been working diligently to keep ministry moving forward.

Through prudent planning, we allocated $10,000 this fiscal year for snow-related expenses. However, the
projected cost to restore the building to full operational capacity is approximately $51,000, excluding
potential permits, inspections, and utility fees. In short, even with budgeted and designated funds, we are
facing a significant gap to fully cover these expenses.

If Salem Fields is your church home, I invite you to prayerfully consider making a one-time gift, above your
regular giving, to help cover these unexpected repair costs. Whether your gift is $50, $500, or $5,000, every
contribution plays an important part in helping us continue our mission, to help people Belong, Believe, and
Become all that God created them to be.
