MESS FEST

Kids, have you ever dug through pudding with your nose? Played Spam Tag? Slithered through chocolate syrup? Built a sundae on your face? Dropped worms on someone’s head (and not gotten in trouble for it)? Or are you dying to pelt Pastor Amanda with chocolate-covered marshmallows? And have we mentioned the SLIME? You don’t want to miss SFCC’s Mess Fest on Friday, July 30 from 5 to 8 PM. Make sure to bring your friends! Attention Parents: your kids will get messy! You might want to pack old towels and trash bag poncho for the ride home! For more info, contact amanda@salemfields.com.

THIS WEEKEND

What happens when life throws you a "wobbler"?  So often we allow our circumstances to dictate our responses—how we respond may be the difference between burning out and burning bright.  No preaching this weekend, just some "food for thought" from Pastor Gaye Marston. Invite a friend!

RUBICON VOLUNTEER INFO MEETING

Would you like to plan, promote and put on events that will benefit the community inside and out? Come to an informational meeting on Sunday, August 1 immediately following the 11 am venue (12:30 PM) and learn about the vision of Rubicon and how you can be a part of the team! For questions or more info, contact richie@salemfields.com.

APPLE TREE

The Apple Tree provides a way for you to help a local child start the school year off right!  All you have to do is pick up an apple from the Apple Tree at one of this weekend’s worship venues and commit to purchasing a new backpack and outfit for the child described on your apple. All of the children who will benefit from the Apple Tree have been designated by area social service organizations as having financial need. For more info, contact heather@salemfields.com.

GIRL'S GETAWAY

The SFCC Girls’ Getaway will take place September 24-26 at the brand-new Courtyard Marriott in Historic Fredericksburg. The weekend will include sessions led by Gaye Marston and a lot of fun! The cost for the weekend is $180 (before July 31; $195 before August 10; a $90 nonrefundable deposit is due with registration). For more info, contact info@salemfields.com
