The Pursuit of God - Sundays 5:30PM-6:30PM - 8 Weeks - Starts Sunday June 3, 2012 -

Based on the book, The Pursuit of God by A.W. Tozer

Facilitator: Kelly Padgett

The voice of God calls all of us to a deeper relationship with Him. Through this classic, we’ll sense His Spirit guiding. From beginning to end, each page is an impassioned plea for the reader to abandon "comfortable Christianity" in order to know God as He desires to be known.  This discipleship class will challenge everyone to look at their faith and decide what to do with it - sometimes with weeping and confession - always toward prayer and renewal in God's presence. Prepare to deepen your walk with Christ and be forever enriched.  If you’re "stuck" in your walk with the Lord, let the Spirit of God use this book to shake you loose and move you onward and upward.

Taking Jesus to the Movies - 4 Weeks -Wednesday June 20 & 27; July 11 & 18, 2012; 6:30-8PM Facilitators: Jill Frankfort & Jarett Perdue

Can God use popular culture to speak to us?  Can we learn to dialogue with Jesus about everything we experience, even movies? Without letting go of our connection to the Bible, and keeping Jesus as our guide, this discipleship class will discuss the stories our culture tells in the form of movies.  While looking for and examining true themes, we will develop the habit of interpreting movie themes through the lens of God's truths.

Slow Fade - 4 Weeks - Wednesday July 11 & 18; August 1 & 8, 2012; 7-8PM

Based on the book, Mustard Seeds by Lynn Coulter

Facilitator: Mary Ann Krauss

As the song goes, “when you give yourself away, it’s a slow fade”. In doing so, you leave behind “mustard seeds”, seeds of faith. This book is compiled of 15 personal faith stories of Lynn Coulter. The modern day faith walk is all about RELATIONSHIPS. We will explore how to be alert to opportunities and how to share our faith in attractive ways through conversations and interactions with family, friends, coworkers and strangers (1 Peter 3:15)

Art & the Bible - 4 Weeks - Wednesday July 18 & 25; August 1 & 8, 2012; 7-8PM                       Facilitator: Chris Barham

“The Lordship of Christ should include an interest in the arts,” Francis Shaeffer notes; “A Christian should use these arts to the glory of God, not just as tracts, mind you, but as things of beauty to the praise of God.” Learn to see God in all manner of the arts as well as its biblical basis.
